To evaluate the clinical acceptability of PACS in daily practice at tertiary hospital with 1100 beds.
We compared acceptability of PACS with conventional screen-film system(SFS) from clinician's point of view. Thirty-six clinicians(20 orthopedic surgeons, 5 neurosurgeons, 11 neurologist) participated in this survey and recorded their opinions on
a
three-point scale(PACS>SFS, PACS=SFS, PACSOn image quality, PACS was preferred in 27(75%), equal in 3 (8%), and SFS was preferred in 6 (17%). On accessibility, PACS was preferred in 24 (67%), equal in 7 (19%), and SFS was preferred in 5 (14%). On clinical utility, PACS was preferred in

(94%), equal in 1 (3%), and SFS was preferred in 1 (3%). Clinician's choice was PACS in 31 (86%). There was no difference in opinion between groups of clinicians.
PACS is well accepted by clinicians as a satisfactory alternative to conventional screen-film system.
